Why is it when I try to take a photo of my friends and I, I always look like crap. Very rarely it turns out as a good pict.

Today Dad needed to go to Renton to have a friend of his fix a sign of his. He doesn't like to drive the much anymore so he asked me to drive. Well then I mentioned I was coming up that way to Cher and she totally got excited and said she would meet me somewhere. OK now I'm all excited to go up there. But that means a trip with dad.
(Oh God help me keep my mouth shut.)
We meet up with Cher- about 10:45 ish Dad & his friend drive off to do their stuff, and Cher and I go shoppin'. I had a blast hanging out with her- this has never been a problem. I was only getting concerned about Dad as his phone was going to voice mail. I tried calling him probably 25 times or more. He told me to be gone as long as we wanted and to go have fun. Well my luck he would have been fuming. 4:00 pm We head back towards Auburn and I finally get a hold of him. Of course he wasn't mad he even said if we wanted to hang out longer he would have just met us closer to Cher's. I felt bad at this point because we were just pullin in to Auburn and Cher had drove down to meet me in Renton then back to her place then had to drive me back to Auburn. She is such an amazing friend. I am so blessed to have her in my life.
I was bumbed out though I planned on takin more pix but I only got this crummy one in the car DANG IT!
Well I do have to make a comment that the drive back sucked. It snowed from auburn home. Some spots it snowed so bad you couldn't even see the car ahead of you. AUGHHHHHHHHHHHHH! I hate drivin in the snow!
This is what we woke up to in Vancouver on the 26th ..... Yeppers that's my child walkin to the bus at 6:30am Battle Ground didn't cancelled for once!
The district phone service even called at 5:30 am to tell us they were in school at normal times however snow rouytes were in place. I was amazed, and pissed I got woke up but it was time for Nate to go anyways.

Nate and his comb-

I had showed Nate awhile ago that I still had Bailey's baby comb from the hospital. He then took it and started combing his hair. I told him to put it back. Well the next night after work he sits down to watch some t.v. and he pulls out this comb, and just starts combing his hair. This had become a habit for him as he watches t.v. now. Kinda like a binky is comfy for a kid.
Then the dreaded night happened the comb was gone........

Oh God, I thought we we're all gonna die. He tore that whole area a part flippin couches to look under them moving everything around it was a mess. He didn't find the comb. Then accusations of us steeling it from him. We went weeks without it and him whining the comb is gone.
Then the singing of " BABY COME BACK " about the comb.
Oh that was punishment enough, trust me. I just wish I hid a camera to record the singing he did for this comb. He even went as far as drawing the comb the teeth bent and missing exactly and made a lost reward poster, worth a million dollar reward.
Then yesterday I moved the couches again and the ferret cage.
Wow, there it was. The stupid comb, that has caused us so much grief, the accusations, the searching Clark County for a new comb just like this one.... no one has them (the lice comb is even different), listening to him whine and the singing. I got all excited I found my cell dialed his number let it ring then it hit me. "Hi honey , How's work I was just callin' to see how you are doing?" I quickly get off the phone and run to my wrapping paper box. I wrap it up in a necklace box in birthday wrap, made a card, and sat patiently till he got home. It was his unbirthday I told him.

He was so excited he even let me take these pictures of him.
(If you know Nate he hates his picture taken.)
Deegan & Hemi , our ferrets kept moving the comb. Ferrets are hoarders they grab their toys and hid them well Nate must have dropped it and they hid it and the must have been moving it from place to place. However we checked their hiding places as we pick up their toys after every time they are out. Just a funny story I thought I'd share with you.

Today I took some of Terry's stuff and rearranged it so it's not all clumped together on one side of the room. You know it's amazing how an item can become something we get attached to. These are just a few items that have late memories of Nate's dad. Things he has either made or he had of his Mom, Dad, & Grandparents. Things we just can't get rid of. But it was so nice to rearrange the place. i think this weekend we will be rearranging the whole area ( SHHHHH DON'T TELL NATER)

Tonight we headed up to longview to hang out with Nicole and Jason. No kidos this time and we haven't done this in awhile so we kinda looked forward to it all day.
(Me in truck as we got gas)
(Me as we got off at the longview exit)
Not Thrilled......
(I have PTSD Post Tramatic Stress Disorder from
our truck accident a year ago. I thought I was slowly gettin' over it......)
Think Again!
(I only get this really bad while in car with Nathan.
Dr. said since he was the one drivin' in the accident it
might always be that way in a car with him.)
Doin' 95 in a 70 passin slower cars that think they have to drive in the slow lane, so we pass them in the slow lane, back over to the middle lane, to the fast lane, back to the middle...
OH MY FRICKIN' GOD!
Nicole & Jason at Porkey's
These two had us laughin' all night.
Back at their place, after dinner Nicole brought up a certian freak we know and then Nate flipped the conversation to I know of some pictures of freaks. Jason hasn't heard of the website. Nate shows him.
Let me just say I have a differant out look on the
Smurfs now, the other meaning of " HOT ASS " , I also didn't know that the Brazillian people liked FARTS that much.
I was truely sickened by this one. I thought I had seen it all.
One of my Favorite quote fits here
"God does have a sense of humor.
Don't believe me ?
Just go to Walmart and look around"
Or just go on the internet

What's the worst tool you have ever used?
Here's my answer.
The Circle Scissor
I absolutely hate this thing It moves on you the blade break very easily
I just hate it !
However they have came out with a newer version of it.
I haven't tried it though. It does look better then the first one but from past experiences I don't know if I even will try this new one.

Normally we have been going to Big Al's for the last few years
to go watch the Daytona 500 Nascar race.
But this year we had planned to go to a friends house and watch the race but the kids & I got sick. But the boys & I got sick so we had decided to just watch it here. Covered under lamby blanket fightin' t
he fever and suckin' on cough drops for the barky cough.
So today I didn't get out to take any picts. SORRY !
Today I was hoping to see one of these from Kasey Kahne.
However he was in 10th position and then was hit towards the end of the race and fell to 24th position. Then they called it due to rain.

February 11, 2009

Today Bai had a Echo of his heart done and another visit with his cardiologist. After a night with Colton taken to the E.R. by ambulance for passing out and then this we were just emotionally wiped out.
We never tell Bai where we are going as he panics.
He was told the night before he wasn't going to school he was gonna go hang out with his dad. Ok duh, Bai isn't stupid he knows his dad won't let him skip just to go hang out. But this is what Nate decided to tell him. About 2 weeks ago Bai had mentioned he got really tired while skating. Red flag for me. I questioned him about this and he said it has happened a few times. This isn't the usual kind of tired he said he was just all of a sudden ed drained could barley move. So I called the Dr. and they set up an appt. we saw his reg PCP. he said he will send the visit results to Bai's cardiologists and they will schedule an appointment if they feel it is needed.
Example of a Bai panicking -
On the way to this appointment with the PCP Bai asked me well what are they going to do cut out part of my heart? As you can imagine I yelled WHAT ! what are you thinkin? You're watching WAY too much t.v.
The view from Dornbecher's Children's Hospital

Bai tryin' to stay awake and Nate Playin' the Play Station Portable
Bai in he middle of the echo
Ok this is hard to see but there is 2 arrows the top on is showing the narrowing of the aortic vessel
Side view of the heart
(notice all 4 chanbers kind of a cool picture)
This shows red blood and blue blood
and the white is just moving faster then the rest.
Red blood is from the left side of the heart
Blue blood is from the left side of the heart
The process of air oxygenation starts with inspiring (inhaling) fresh air which has a high concentration of oxygen and a low concentration of carbon dioxide. The blood coming back from the body (blue blood) comes in contact with the wall of the air sac where it gives its carbon dioxide and gets oxygen becoming red. This fresh blood (red blood) returns back to the Left Atrium to be circulated to the body.
Dr Update
Well the Dr. said Bai was seen 15 months ago for his last echo and he has noticed some narrowing of his aortic valve in addition to the
Bicuspid Aortic Valve Stenosis

Here's some info. on this
Symptoms
Aortic stenosis may not produce immediate symptoms or signs. The first sign is usually an abnormal heart sound, or heart murmur, which may develop months or even decades before other signs and symptoms. Aortic stenosis ranges from mild to severe. As the valve narrows, more signs and symptoms develop and can include:
Chest pain (angina) or tightness
Feeling faint or fainting with physical exertion (exercise)
Dizziness, Fatigue, especially during times of increased activity
Shortness of breath, especially with physical exertion
Heart palpitations — sensations of a rapid, fluttering heartbeat
Swollen ankles and feet
Causes
Aortic valve stenosis obstructs the way blood normally flows through the heart.
Causes may be:
Calcium buildup on the valve With age, heart valves may accumulate deposits of calcium (aortic valve calcification). Calcium is a mineral found in your blood. As blood repeatedly flows over the aortic valve, deposits of calcium can accumulate on the valve's leaflets. These deposits may never cause any problems. However, in some people — particularly those with a bicuspid aortic valve — calcium deposits result in stiffening of the valve leaflets. This stiffening narrows the aortic valve. This cause of aortic stenosis is most common in people older than 60, and symptoms often don't appear until age 70 or 80.
Rheumatic fever
This complication of strep throat was once a common childhood illness in the United States. Rheumatic fever may result in scar tissue forming on the aortic valve. Scar tissue can narrow the aortic valve and lead to aortic stenosis. Scar tissue can also create a rough surface on which calcium deposits can collect, contributing to aortic stenosis later in life. Rheumatic fever may damage more than one heart valve, and in more than one way. A damaged heart valve may not open fully or close fully — or both. Many older adults in the United States were exposed to rheumatic fever as children. Rheumatic fever is still prevalent in underdeveloped countries.
Congenital heart defect
Rarely, some babies are born with an already narrowed aortic valve. Others are born with an aortic valve that has only two flaps (leaflets) — not three. Known as a bicuspid aortic valve, this deformity may not cause problems until adulthood, when the valve may begin to narrow or leak and may need to be repair or replacement. Having a bicuspid aortic valve requires regular evaluation by a physician to watch for signs of valve malfunction. Parents of a newborn, infant or child with aortic stenosis may have many questions and concerns. In most cases, physicians don't know why a heart valve fails to develop properly, and it isn't something the parents could have prevented.

February 10, 2009

I didn't blog this day as I slept all day from lack of sleep but here's what happened.
Colton has had 102.9 degree fever since Sunday night. Every night / morning at 2am he calls me (from his brothers cell phone instead of yelling for me and waking up the whole house- how thought full huh ?) in tears to tell he tells me he's gonna puke. We meet up in the bathroom for about a 20 minute visit for nothing. Then we settle him in on the couch with a puke pan and toilet paper for the bloody nose. Well then we sleep in till bout 9am and he is spiking another fever. He takes his Tylenol and sleeps all day threw all the fever spikes and all activity around the house. We had decided to keep him on the couch closer to me tonight. Nate and I had decided to stay up late and catch up on some shows we had DVR'ed. 11:30 we mosey to bed . 12:30 I wake up to hearing Colton's feet pitter pattering around the basement floor and then running to the bathroom. He yells "Mom bloody nose" I tell him I'm coming I get the the door to the bathroom and he is kinda wobbly I grab his arm and he looks at me and says I can't really see I lean him over the sink a little so he can start to wash the blood off his hand and he looks at me and all I saw was pupils no paper brown bag colored eyes just black solid eyes staring at me creepily. I yelled "Nate he's passin out " at this point Colton dropped like a rock but I smoothed out the landing. I'm tryin' to be calm and talk to Colton tell him I'm right there try to focus on me, and listen to my voice. Then I realize Nate's still sleepin' I yell " HELLO PEOPLE COLTON PASSED OUT NATE COLTON PASSED OUT" Nate then gets up running and slips but catches him self and I'm chuckling at him and lookin at Colton no response from Colton . What's freaky he keeps his eyes open.I then start to panic "call 911" then I grab nate cell and get them coming. Colton is slowly startin to move and come around. This is the longest 1 & a 1/2 minutes. Colton slowly starts talkin and whining I don't want to go to the hospital. When he realizes I'm on phone with 911. WE cover him up and Pick him up and then put him on the floor in the entryway so the fir dept and EMT's don't have to deal with the dogs. He starts really shaking and whining he don't wan to go. " They always needle me " he cries. I then tell him well maybe Joe Gray will come and get you in the ambulance, if he is on duty. He then said " Ok well maybe then I'll go." They finally arrive and no Joe. the look of disappointment. Oh it was sad. The lip kinda quivered as he asked is this all the guys on the truck and one guy looked at me and said "Yeah why is he askin that?" I told him he knows Joe Gray. The lady Fire fighter told him she knows Joe. He seemed ok with that. The EMT's WOW there's a whole nother story . I thought we were gonna die on our way to the hospital. The DRIVER was too busy using the computer talkin to another ambulance and driving. We drove on the shoulder and in 2 lanes most of the way there.
So here's my picts for the day

Nate finally showed up but the sitting and waiting
just kills his knees and back.
Well they re hydrated Colton, took blood, did a U.A., then gave him something for his nausea and fever. They left the decision up to Colton of either finish up the fluids or come home and drink when I tell him too. So he just wanted to go home and we did. Nate didn't want him on the couch so he slept with us. So needless to say Colton and I didn't get much sleep as we had to fight Nate all night. Nate is a bed and blanket hog! WE had to leave the house at 9am at the latest for Bai's Dr. appt. AUGHHHHHH!

Today I didn't really do much.
On days like this I really struggle with tryin' to find a picture to take.
Then it hit me like a smack across the face then splat on the floor.
I can explain the gummy worm flinging.
Kelli & I were playin' rummy and the boys came down and got some dirty & worms. We finished up our game and I thought ok I'll have a small bowl.
I can't eat the gummy worms, they just hurt my teeth.
My sister decided she was gonna pop off to me and I tossed a worm off the top of the pile at her. We giggled as it hit the floor she tosses it back at me but it landed what looked like to her in the pile of worms. As she's all freakin out about it and Bailey and I are just in hysterics laughin' she comes over picks up a worm and huffs it at me. The poor worm smacks my face and splats on the floor. At this point I could barley breath I was laughin' so hard so I took the worm and acted like I sneezed but the damn thing went up my nose. Kelli flips out even more cos the worm is up my nose. I'm about to pee my panties at this point. I then take the worm and chase her around the house with what she called the boogie worm.
I got the last laugh with out here knowing.....
The boogie worm finally came to rest back in a pile of dirt and worms which happened to be the bowl she is happily eating as I'm typin this out.
The jokes & pranks never end here in the family compound.
Kelli if your readin' this hahaha you got your protien today !

Bai on the other hand if he's not skating

he don't want his picture taken.

Nater- Well this is my usual picture I capture for him.

He moves on purpose so I never get a good shot or his eyes are closed.

" Will you flippin' stop it DAMN IT ! "
I usually just laugh and keep shootin' to tick him off more. hehehehehe

HA ! I KINDA GOT A HALF WAY DECENT ONE.
( Nater it's time to shave)
